It's simply that easy. Once you are set up by our friendly team, redirects are but several clicks away!
Here's the process:
- Register your domain
- Set up an account on AraTika
- Add your domain to AraTika on the https://www.aratika.nz/app page in the “Owned Domains” area. This will give you the TXT entry that needs to be added to your DNS. This is used as proof that you own the domain and that you can manage redirects for it.
- Log into your name server control panel (usually this will be your domain registrar) and add the TXT record to your domain's zone file. Note. DNS Changes may take up to 48 hours to propagate.
- AraTika will check your name server for the TXT record. As soon as the system finds the record your domain will be authorised for redirects. The CNAMES required for adding the SSL certificate for your domain will now be available.
- To add the SSL certificate to your domain, log into your name server control panel (usually this will be your domain registrar) and add the CNAME record to your domain's zone file. Note: DNS changes may take up to 48 hours to propagate.
- You will receive an email notification once the SSL certificate for domain has been added to AraTika, the domain is now configured to manage redirects via HTTP and HTTPS.
- Log into your name server control panel (usually this will be your domain registrar), and connect your domain to AraTika by adding an A record to your domain's zone file. The IP address for AraTika can be found on the https://www.aratika.nz/app page in the “Owned Domains” area.
- Start to set up the redirects you want in the “Domain Redirects” area of https://www.aratika.nz/app.
These might redirect your site to www, i.e. redirect signify.co.nz to www.signify.co.nz
Or to redirect variations of your domains i.e. signify.org.nz to www.signify.co.nz
Or it could be to parts of your website, i.e. signify.org.nz/contact to www.signify.co.nz/contact-us
